Februa 2013 News Letter

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,  

May God bless each one of you as you continue to be salt and light in your home, church and community.  God has blessed us in great ways, here in Colombia.  

As a family we are growing in the Lord.  Johana and I are getting things more together and communicating better and better. We have a lot to work on still.  The children are doing great in school and are learning to work more as family. Pray for Johana as she has a lot of things on her plate to do.   

In January, God blessed, by allowing me to do an Immersion in three churches in Villavicencio.&nbVillavicencio at we have pastors that are more concentrated in discipleship and shepherding their leaders and small group.  Praise the Lord the ball is just beginning to roll.   

In January God allowed me to do an Immersion in Bogotá.  Edwin and his girlfriend Xiomara went to the Immersion in Bogotá, which was held last year by Rea Life Ministries. Edwin´s pastor Carlos and wife Martha are enthused and wants to have a more relational church, a church that makes disciples that make disciples.  This Tuesday they started 6 small groups.  Praise the Lord!  

In February God gave us the opportunity of being blessed by Roy and Don who came from the US.  They taught us how to shepherd in the small group and during the week.  The leadership of 6 different churches came to learn how to do small groups and how to shepherd.  We met in Bogota and in my Father´s lake house near Medellin.

Pray as I continue to guide my family.  Pray as I continue to practice what I have learned at home and as I shepherd three men in Medellin.  Pray as I teach other churches how to make disciples that make disciples.

Pray as Johana works hard at home, in the ministry and teaching. Pray as Gamaliel begins to practice all the things he saw and learned.  Pray so that the churches that are taking steps of faith towards a more relational church may continue in this path. 

 Thank you for your prayers, for your support and for giving the opportunity to many of hearing the gospel for the first time. 

A new believer in Villavicencio has been going to one to the small groups. Since we did the Immersion she has been talking to her neighbors. She has brought three new people to the small group.  Now they are being taken to Jesus so that He can be their Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord!

Pastor Stanly from Suba has been blessed as his family is being healed.  He is now shepherding his family and being more effective in his church. One small group from his church in Bogotá, has now 36 people in it. 

Pray so that we may be a big blessing as we do the second Immersion this month in Medellin.  WE will be teaching 12 more leaders.  Pray as we begin with pastor Juan Guillermo a 12 week study with 12 of his leaders,  how to disciple and pastor each other.
